1. IT Trainee, Industrial Solutions (Bangalore) – Open
This trainee rotates through teams in Magna IT’s Industrial Solutions (ISOL) group, including several SAP teams, EDI (electronic data interchange, how Magna exchanges orders and invoices with car makers) and MES (manufacturing execution systems, the software that runs factory floors). It is an application support role, not a coding role.
What you will do
- Give 1st and 2nd level support to users of business applications
- Analyse and troubleshoot problems, and escalate to 3rd level support when needed
- Manage a ticket queue and prioritise by business impact
- Maintain master data, user accounts and technical documentation
- Help test applications
Who can apply
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related IT field. Magna says new graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Microsoft Office, including Excel and Visio
- Strong written and spoken English, and good customer-service skills
- German, Mandarin or Spanish is a plus, not a requirement

- What is the difference between L1, L2 and L3 support? Hint: L1 handles common issues, L2 investigates deeper, L3 is the product or development team.
- A user says SAP is “not working”. What do you ask first? Hint: which transaction, exact error message, since when, and is it only them or everyone.
- You have 10 open tickets. How do you prioritise? Hint: impact (a stopped production line comes first) and urgency.
- What is ERP? Name some SAP modules. Hint: MM (materials), SD (sales), PP (production), FI (finance).

2. Intern, Smart Factory Solutions (Bangalore) – Open
A hands-on internship across AI, data engineering and full-stack development, working on real projects with Magna engineers. This one is for current students, not graduates.
What you will do
- Work with real datasets: ETL and data analysis
- Support AI/ML models and data-driven features
- Build frontend and backend web applications, APIs and simple dashboards
- Debug, test and improve existing systems
Who can apply
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Basic Python and/or JavaScript, plus data structures and programming fundamentals
- Nice to have: React or Node.js, scikit-learn or TensorFlow, SQL, and your own AI, data or app projects

3. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Pune) – Closed
This was an apprentice role with Magna Steyr (Magna’s vehicle engineering group) doing 3D and 2D CAD work in CATIA V5 or UG NX, mainly on plastic parts. It was open to B.E. or diploma holders in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering from the 2024–2026 batches, with 0–1 year of experience. It is no longer accepting applications.
